Graphic Facilitation

You’ve assembled the brightest. We help you reveal their brilliance.

How it Works

ImageThink graphic facilitators lead and document hundreds of meetings every year, using our unique blend of graphic recording, whiteboarding, and our own ImageThink Method™ of meeting facilitation. We help our clients strategize effectively, visualize their best ideas, and offer them the tools to predict future challenges, and take action.

Our process begins with a consultation designed to uncover your meeting’s true objectives. We create robust and detailed agendas, custom visual templates, and exercises that ignite creativity.

During the meeting, our graphic facilitators engage attendees and stimulate brainstorming using design-thinking principles, then capture and synthesize ideas visually. We document discussions so attendees leave aligned and inspired, with clear action steps and owners.

Defining Your HOW: Strategic Planning

Meetings run by committee are doomed before they begin. No agenda. No structure. Worst of all, no documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is meeting facilitation and why do you need it?

Whether in-person or virtual, organizations are demanding more out of their meetings. It’s critical to have seasoned and professional meeting and conference agenda design to optimize the time, creativity, and energy of their team to make an impact. ImageThink’s graphic facilitation solutions ensure every meeting not only accomplishes the goal, but delights participants.

What is meeting illustration?

Meeting illustration, or graphic recording as we call it, is the real-time translation of conversations or presentations into text and pictures. Graphic recorders do three things simultaneously: they listen for key ideas, synthesize them, and document them in visual form. It gives meeting and conference attendees an opportunity to absorb content on a visual level.

What is the purpose of graphic recording at a meeting?

In a presentation, graphic recording increases engagement and memory-retention for the participants. Many people are visual learners, and studies indicate that people remember more information when combined with visuals, especially using mnemonic devices, than via spoken word alone.

During a brainstorm or strategy session, a skilled graphic recorder will incorporate all of the group’s contributions into a coherent visual while revealing connections between ideas that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. This practice promotes creative thinking, collaboration and deeper engagement by creating a collective vision (literally).

How do you make meetings more productive?

In our ImageThink creative brainstorming workshops, we teach several ways of making meetings more productive, including effective whiteboarding techniques, group creativity exercises, and best practices for assigning action items and owners when the meeting is done.

How much does it cost?

At ImageThink, we price our strategic meeting facilitation according to the nature of your engagement – whether it’s an internal meeting or public conference, for example – and how much support you need. Staffing, time, and materials are all factors in our rate card. Get in touch to discuss how we can help bring your biggest ideas to the surface and we’ll provide you with a custom quote.
