ImageThink’s core service – graphic recording – is a visual form of note-taking that helps focus discussions, synthesize ideas, and engage teams and audiences.
Sometimes called scribing or sketchnoting, graphic recording is like whiteboarding turned up to eleven. ImageThink visual strategists are talented, trained artists who listen for and group key ideas, illustrate concepts, and document discussion in an exciting and actionable way.
Extensive research and studies show that as humans, we are inherently wired to think and communicate visually. “A picture is worth a thousand words” isn’t just an idiom, it’s science!
At the most fundamental level of our reptilian brain, we grasp and interpret pictures more effectively than words. When we embrace a visual approach, ideation, iteration, and innovation come naturally and lead to exceptional outcomes.
Some meetings need more than a spiral notebook. Whether it’s a strategy session, corporate restructure, annual board retreat, or new product concepting, graphic recording keeps the team on track. Ideas and discussions are memorialized, and attendees leave aligned and inspired, with clear action steps and owners.
The importance of creating a memorable pitch cannot be understated. With in-person and remote capabilities, ImageThink provides visual support to impress clients, grow accounts, deepen relationships, and win more business by leaving them with something to keep you top of mind.
Visualizing insights from patients, students, clients, and customers inspires connections and promotes deeper interest and discussion. People ignore what they don’t see and too often those we serve feel ignored or unheard; ImageThink can make their stories and experiences both visual, and visible.
How it Works
ImageThink’s visual strategists have an entire team behind them to facilitate a successful graphic recording experience. We start with a planning call where you will meet your project manager and visual strategist to discuss your objectives and event details. Our expert admin staff handles all of the logistics, from supplies to travel. On the event day, your graphic recorder creates the visualizations live on a foam board, whiteboard, or digitally. We send you a digital gallery of all of the images created during your session, then follow up with a reflection call to discuss the event and next steps.
Participants can interact with our visual strategists and the art first hand. Graphic recorders use markers on foam core boards or create digital images piped into an onsite AV system.
Ideal for distributed teams, a visual strategist can join on site at a client hub or innovation center or online to stream the visual capture to participants around the globe, at home or in another office.
For completely remote teams, get the fully digital experience of graphic recording performed over any virtual meeting platform. Visuals can be the spotlight, or shared during breaks.

The final deliverables from ImageThink are not only beautiful, they will be highly useful visual artifacts to help the workshop participants continue to develop new projects and areas of research.
It was an absolute pleasure working with the ImageThink team from start to finish! The live graphic recording of our breakout discussions added an extremely engaging (and fun!) element to our virtual workshop.
Nora’s visualization at the end was amazing – keep doing that for future customer interactions, because I’ve never seen that before and was a cool way to end the session.
The image assets were outstanding and will be great artifact for our Product Managers moving forward.
Our campus constituents are very excited about the work that has taken place between JSU and ImageThink. So much so that departments are still asking about the services and how they can use the services. I make a referral at least once a week and sometimes more.
