SXSW Interactive 2013: Setting the Stage

It seems like just yesterday that we were in Austin as part of OgilvyNotes at SXSWi. We had the great privilege to scribe for amazing speakers like Al Gore, and we’re hoping to be back next year — on the stage, too. Our work there was well-received. We were thrilled to be featured on the Fast Company’s Co.Create blog as well as in this trend wrap up by SoLoMo Show (“infographics on the fly” at about 13:00). Adam and Cory talked about the groundswell in visual communiation — especially in social media — and concluded that it’s here to stay. The explosive growth of platforms like Pinterest and Instagram — and even the new timeline on Facebook — indicate that images are now a well established part of modern communication. “It’s not a fad…[these tools] will find their niche in how people communicate.”
One More Day to Vote for SXSW 2013 PanelsWe were inspired this summer to make our own bid for the SXSW stage next year. Drawing on our background in the fine arts, we’ve put together a proposal for a presentation called Why Your CEO Needs an MFA. It will be an opportunity to share our own lessons about business and leadership that we (unexpectedly) picked up in the process of becoming artists. We’d really appreciate your vote for our panel!
