Last week ImageThink had the amazing opportunity to work with a powerful group of 10 graphic facilitators! We brought together a dream team of talented facilitators to create a teambuilding experience for our client.

For the teambuilding event, each graphic facilitator was paired with a team captain — a total of 10 teams. The objective was to create an image that represented the team’s collective vision for their department and the company. We worked in two phases — first, we captured a brainstorm around values and vision. Then, the graphic facilitator and team captain worked to distill the brainstorm into a complete visual narrative for the final board.

The final boards were presented by the team captains. One board was chosen to represent the entire department, and will be displayed at the company’s headquarters for a year. All 10 team illustrations are being compiled into a book that will provide a memento for all the teams.

We’re so glad we had an opportunity to bring together such a great team of diverse talents — individual backgrounds ranged from rapid visualization to the academic study of visual learning to cartooning and organizational psychology. Through a combination of listening, synthesizing and facilitating our team led their teams to create a common vision. We also got to have our own mini graphic recording roundtable! See Dusty Folwarczny’s great sketchnotes of our conversation at right.
